Clay Animals

Lots of clay projects in art class this trimester!
2nd grade students created their own clay animal and were able to paint them the next week.
Students were encouraged to paint their animal however they wanted.  Some were painted rainbow and some were painted like the real deal. :)

Once students completed painting, they wrote a small story about their animal to give it more meaning.  This made the project extra special.  It also incorporated literacy... which is always a plus.
